(1) Remove the escape slide pack.
(a)
Do the task to remove the escape slide assembly.
(b)
Put the escape slide assembly on the floor or other horizontal surface.
(c)
Remove the girt bar from its stowage hooks.
(d)
Pull the latch cable to open the compartment latch.
(e)
Open the compartment cover.
(f)
AFT ESCAPE SLIDES; Disconnect the retaining straps from the backing pan.
(g)
Remove the safety pin from the pocket of the escape slide pack.
WARNING:_______MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE SAFETY PIN. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE SAFETY PIN, THE ESCAPE SLIDE CAN INFLATE ACCIDENTALLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Install the safety pin into the valve regulator housing (Fig. 203).
