(1) To remove the escape slide floor brackets, do these steps:
(a)
Remove the pan head bolts and their lockwashers.
(b)
Pull the floor bracket from the adapter plate.
(c)
Remove the flathead screws that hold the adapter plate to the floor.
NOTE: The flathead screws do not always have the same length.
____ Identify the screws and their correct locations for the installation task.
(d) Remove the adapter plate from the floor.

(1) To install the escape slide floor brackets, do these steps:
(a)
Clean the flathead screws and the holes in the adapter plate with solvent.
(b)
Dry the flathead screws and the holes in the adapter plate with a clean gauze cloth.
(c)
Apply sealant to the flathead screws and the holes in the adapter plate.
(d)
Put the adapter plate on the holes in the floor and install the flathead screws.
NOTE: Replace the adapter plate if there is corrosion on it.

(e)
Cut the mylar shim to align with the bottom of the floor bracket.
(f)
Drill two holes in the shim to align with the holes in the floor bracket and the adapter plate.
(g)
Set the shim on top of the adapter plate.
(h)
Set the floor bracket on top of the shim.
(i)
Install the pan head bolts and their lockwashers.
