CAUTION: ONLY PUT THE ESCAPE SLIDE PACK ON A CLEAN SURFACE.
_______ IF YOU DO NOT PUT THE ESCAPE SLIDE PACK ON A CLEAN SURFACE, THE ESCAPE SLIDE PACK CAN BE DAMAGED.
(i)
Lift the escape slide pack from the backing pan.
(j)
Remove the latch assembly (Fig. 205).
NOTE: Use this latch assembly when you replace the escape
____ slide assembly if it is necessary.

(1) Put the escape slide pack into the escape slide compartment (Fig. 201).
(a)
Put the escape slide compartment on the floor or other horizontal surface.
(b)
Open the compartment cover.
(c)
Put the escape slide pack in the compartment backing pan.
(d)
Make sure the hole in the escape slide girt aligns with the latch bracket on the compartment cover.
CAUTION: REMOVE THE SAFETY PIN FROM THE VALVE REGULATOR HOUSING.
_______ THE SLIDE WILL NOT OPERATE IF THE SAFETY PIN IS IN THE REGULATOR HOUSING.
(e)
Remove the safety pin from the valve regulator housing (Fig. 203).
