 GALLEYS - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
___________________________________
 1.  General_______
 A.  Galleys are located and given number references per Fig. 1.
 B.  A curtain, supported by a curtain track attached to the galley header, between the galleys and/or windscreens, is installed to enclose the service door entryway and form a galley work area enclosure.
 2.  Electrical Service (Fig. 2)__________________
 A.  Electrical power (115/200 volts ac) is supplied to the galleys through connectors in the overhead area of each galley. Power application is normally controlled by the GALLEY switch on the pilots' forward overhead panel. Galley power may be automatically interrupted by protective circuits in the electrical power supply system (Ref Chapter 24). Galley power circuit wiring is protected by circuit breakers on panel P6.
 3.  Water Service_____________
 A.  Water, controlled by the pressurized passenger water system, is provided to galleys through interface connectors located in the overhead galley area. A water drain line in the galleys connects to the airplane drain system through a fitting in the floor. For further information on galley water supply, refer to Chapter 38, Water and Waste.
 4.  Floor Covering______________
 A.  Floor covering in the galley installation areas consists of vinyl mats. A liquid barrier is installed under the vinyl mat to prevent floor structural damage.
