Hold the panel and install the fasteners at the hinges.

Move the panel to the not fully-closed position and connect the lanyard anchor (Detail C). 1) Make sure you put the lanyard away.

Lift the panel to the fully closed position.
1) Make sure the automatic latches engage.

PASSENGER SEATS - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. General_______
A. Passenger seats are attached to seat tracks in the floor, and may be rearranged for different passenger configurations by moving the seats forward or aft on seat tracks. Seat tracks are beams of special cross section and are bolted to the floor structure. Tracks are provided with circular cutouts for seat studs and lock pins, which lock the seats in position. Cutouts in the tracks are spaced one inch apart. The seats are triple or double passenger type (Fig. 1).
B. To ensure rapid opening of escape hatches, a hatch-mounted armrest replaces the outboard armrest fixed to the seat base on each seat adjacent to an escape hatch.
2. Passenger Seat (Fig. 1)______________
A. The triple passenger seat provides three seats on a common seat base. The seat consists of three reclinable seat backs, three seat cushions, three safety belts, two removable armrests, a seat base with two fixed armrests and four fixed legs. The seat is equipped with three integral tables. The double passenger seat provides two seats on a common seat base. The seat consists of two reclinable seat backs, two seat cushions, two safety belts, two removable armrests, a seat base with one fixed armrest and three fixed legs. The seat is equipped with two integral tables. The double passenger seat provides two seats on a common seat base. The seat consists of two reclinable seat backs, two seat cushions, two safety belts, two removable armrests, a seat base with two fixed armests and three fixed legs. The seat is equipped with two integral tables. A front-mounted food table is provided for the first row of passenger seats. This is a plug-in table which fits into sockets in the front of the armrests. Every seat is provided with plug-in sockets. Ashtrays and escutcheons are located in the inboard and removable armrests only.
B. The back and bottom dress cover assemblies are separate and can be removed independently. Seat backs recline individually and can be returned to full-up position without use of the recline mechanism. Seat bottom cushions or supports are not articulated and will not move when the back rest is reclined. The recline control is located on the side of the armrest. Push-pull linkage connects the recline control with the recline mechanism.
C. Seat retention studs are mounted in the front and rear of each leg. At the rear of each leg is a pivoted double retaining stud. Seat retention and locking is by a spring loaded shear pin located at the rear of each leg.
D. The seat backs can be folded forward by light hand pressure exerted at the top of the seat back. Each seat back includes an integral food tray which is released for service by turning the latch located at the top rear of each back cover assembly.
