A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3)
Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

(1)
Put the access platform below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3)
Set the LIGHT control SW 11LJ to the ON position.

A. Examine Oil Level and Replenish (Top-Off Method)
(1)
Check the oil level on the sight glass. NOTE : If the oil level is at the FULL mark on the sight glass, do

Change the oil-filters (Ref. TASK 49-91-41-200-001) and (Ref. TASK 49-91-45-200-002).
(3)
Put the container in position below the APU filling port to collect oil overflow.
(4)
Make sure that the filler cap is clean.
(a) Pull the lock and slowly open the filler cap to release any pressure from the APU.
(5)
Add the oil. WARNING : PUT THE OIL INTO THE GRAVITY-FILL PORT SLOWLY. THIS WILL
____
not add oil to the APU.
_______ PREVENT A BLOW-BACK OF HOT OIL WHICH CAN BURN YOU.
CAUTION : DO NOT FILL THE GEARBOX ABOVE THE FULL MARK ON THE SIGHT
_______ GLASS. DURING APU OPERATION THE OIL EXPANDS WHICH COULD CREATE AN OVER-FILLED CONDITION RESULTING IN LEAKAGE AND POSSIBLE OIL SMELL IN THE CABIN.
(a) Slowly add the oil until the level in the APU is at the FULL mark.

Close and lock the filler cap.
(7)
Remove the container.
(8)
Attach a oil-data service tag to the APU. Subtask 49-90-00-410-061

Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
