Locate the oil cooler outlet duct (8) and band clamp (7) on the oil cooler lower flange.
NOTE : Do not tighten the band clamps (4) and (7) at this time.

TORQUE the mount bolts (6)to 40.0 lbf.in (0.45 m.daN).

Remove the blanking caps from the tubes (2) and (14).
(14)
Insert the oil tube (2) into the oil cooler and attach the retaining collar to the tube mount boss studs with the two nuts (1).

TORQUE the two nuts (1) to between 48 and 53 lbf.in (0.54 and 0.59 m.daN).
(16)
Insert the oil tube (14) into the oil cooler and attach the retaining collar to the tube mount boss studs with the two nuts (13).
(17)
TORQUE the two nuts (13) to between 48 and 53 lbf.in (0.54 and 0.59 m.daN).
(18)
TORQUE the band clamp nuts (4) and (7) to between 24 and 26.5 lbf.in
(0.27 and 0.29 m.daN).
(19)
Attach the oil cooler outlet duct (8) to the exhaust duct (10) with clamp (9).
(20)
TORQUE the V-band clamp nut (9) to between 35 and 45 lbf.in (0.39 and
0.50 m.daN).
(21)
Put the new packing (12) (P/N M83248-1-905) on the drain plug (11).
(22)
Install the drain plug (11) on the oil cooler (5).
(23)
Torque the drain plug (11) to between 50 and 70 lbf.in (0.56 and 0.79 m.daN).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD Subtask 49-91-44-710-053
C. Test for Leaks
(1)
Start the APU (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-860-005).
(2)
Make sure that the oil level of the APU is correct (Ref. TASK 49-90-00-600-004).
(3)
Examine the fan outlet duct (16), the oil cooler (5), the outlet duct
(8) and the check valve connections for oil leaks. NOTE : No leaks are permitted.

Examine the oil tubes (13) and (1) for oil leaks.
NOTE : No leaks are permitted.

(5)
Stop the APU (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-860-006).
5. Close-up

(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(3)
Remove the access platform(s). Subtask 49-91-44-860-052

Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Pressurize the reservoirs of the hydraulic systems.
(Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(2)
De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(3)
Remove the warning notice(s).
