Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

_______ OIL CAN HAVE ADDITIVE CALLED TRICRESYL PHOSPHATE IN IT. THIS CHEMICAL IS AN ASPHYXIANT, IT IS POISONOUS AND CAN BE ABSORBED THROUGH THE SKIN. USE CARE WHEN ENGINE OIL IS DRAINED. HOT OIL CAN POSSIBLY CAUSE BAD BURNS.

A. Inspection of the Magnetic Drain Plug
(1)
Remove the magnetic element from the drain plug (Ref. TASK 49-91-42-000-002).
(2)
Inspect the magnetic element under a source of white light for metal particles.
(a)
A small quantity of metal particles not larger than 1.50 mm (0.0590 in.) in any dimension is permitted. In this case install the magnetic element in the drain plug (Ref. TASK 49-91-42-400-002).
