A. Disassemble for Access
(1) Removal of the Lockwire WARNING : CUT, REMOVE AND DISCARD THE LOCKWIRE AS YOU DO THE TASK.

LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT OR BLIND YOU.
(a) Remove the lockwire from the upper and lower halves of the heat insulation (1) and (2), remove the heat insulation halves.
(2)
Remove the clamp (3) from the exhaust hot nozzle assy. and APU exhaust duct.
(3)
Loosen the nut of the muffler drain-line and disconnect the drain line.
(4)
Remove the APU exhaust access fairing 317AL (Ref. TASK 52-41-18-000-001).

Remove the cotter pins, the castle-nuts, the bolts, the washers and the bushing from the exhaust muffler.
(6)
Pull the exhaust muffler rearwards to get an sufficient clearence between the APU duct and the muffler duct.
