 A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1)
 Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

 (2)
 On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.

 (3)
 Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.

 (4)
 Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
 (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).


 (5)
 Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.

 (6)
 Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).

 (7)
 Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the on position.

 4. Procedure

 A. Installation of the Oil Cooler (P/N 4950882; M4950242)
 (1)
 Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

 (2)
 Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (3)
 Apply OILS (Material No. 03-002) to the new packing (3) and packing (15).

 (4)
 Visually inspect the tubes (2) and (14) for evidence of aluminuim deposits, rough surfaces or deformation. Replace the tube(s) if defects are observed.

 (5)
 Visually inspect the threads on the tube mount boss studs for, chipping, galling or deformation. Replace the oil cooler if defects are found.

 (6)
 Put the new packing (3) and (15) on the tubes (2) and (14).

 (7)
 Remove the protective covers from the cooling fan outlet duct (16) and the new oil cooler (5).

 (8)
 Position the band clamp (4) on cooling fan outlet duct (16).

 (9)
 Position the oil cooler (5) on the mount brackets with the top flange located in the cooling fan outlet duct (16). Loosely install the four mount bolts (6).


 NOTE : Do not tighten the bolts (6) at this time.
