A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

C. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3)
Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the on position.

A. Removal of the Oil Cooler (P/N 4950882; M4950242)
(1)
Remove the V-band clamp (9) and disconnect the outlet duct (8) from the exhaust duct (10).
(2)
Put a container in position below the oil cooler (5).
(3)
Remove the drain plug (11) together with the packing (12) and drain the oil cooler (5) into the container.
(4)
Discard the drain plug packing (12).
(5)
Remove the nuts (1) and (13).
(6)
Withdraw the oil tube assemblies and retaining collars (2) and (14) from the inlet and outlet mount bosses.
(7)
Discard the packings (3) and (15).
(8)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
(9)
Remove the band clamp (7) and remove the cooler outlet duct (8).
(10)
Remove the band clamp (4).
(11)
Remove the four mount bolts (6).
(12)
Remove the oil cooler (5) from the cooling fan outlet duct (16).
(13)
Install a protection cover on the cooling fan outlet duct (16).
