(1)
Energize the ground service network
(Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that ground fire extinguishing equipment is available.
(5)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

A. Remove the APU Magnetic Chip Detector (MCD).
(1) Removal of the Lockwire: WARNING : CUT, REMOVE AND DISCARD THE LOCKWIRE AS YOU DO THE TASK.

LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT OR BLIND YOU.
-Remove the lockwire from the MCD (2) and discard it.
