Do an oil level check on the oil sight glass (3). NOTE : If the oil level is at the FULL mark on the oil sight glass
____ (3), do not add oil to the APU oil reservoir.
(2)
Put the container in position below the APU gear box to collect oil leakage or overflow.
(3)
Make sure that the oil scupper (1) and the oil filler cap (2) are clean. Clean them with a lint-free cloth, if they are dirty.
(4)
Remove the overflow port cover (5) and connect the overflow drain hose to the overflow port (4). Put the hose end into the oil container.
(5)
Open the oil filler cap (2). WARNING : BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DRAIN THE ENGINE OIL AND/OR LOOSEN THE
_______ FILLER CAP. HOT OIL CAN SPILL PAST THE FILLER CAP WHEN THE OIL LEVEL IS ABOVE THE 'ADD' RANGE (MARKED ON THE SIGHT GLASS).
CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT ALL PLUMBING IS FREE FROM OBSTRUCTION.

(a) Open the lock and slowly loosen the oil filler cap (2) to release remaining pressure from the oil reservoir.

_______ GLASS. DURING APU OPERATION THE OIL EXPANDS WHICH COULD CREATE AN OVER-FILLED CONDITION RESULTING IN LEAKAGE AND POSSIBLE OIL SMELL IN THE CABIN.

(a)
Make sure that the oil-can(s) is(are) clean and the oil does not contain unwanted materials.
(b)
Carefully add the oil until the oil level in the oil reservoir is at the FULL mark on the oil sight glass (3), or until oil flows from the overflow (4).
NOTE : If you want to change/mix the oil brands:
____ (Ref. TASK 49-90-00-600-002) or (Ref. TASK 49-90-00-600-002).

Install and lock the oil filler cap (2).
NOTE : Make sure that the oil filler cap is tight and locked

correctly.
(8)
Wait until oil stops flowing from the overflow hose, then remove the overflow hose from the port (4) and install the cover (5).
(9)
Remove the oil from the oil scupper and make it dry with a lint-free cloth.
(10)
Remove the container.
(11)
If oil fell on the APU, the air intake duct and/or the adjacent area, remove it and make the area dry with a lint-free cloth.
(12)
If applicable, make an entry in the necessary log(s) to tell people that you have added oil to the APU oil reservoir.
