Remove the filter bypass valve (8081KM) (3) from the filter housing (4).
(4)
Remove and discard the O-rings (5) and (6).
(5)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(2)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(3)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4)
Make sure that ground fire extinguishing equipment is available.
(5)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6)
Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).

C. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3)
Set the LIGHT SW 11LJ to the ON position.

A. Installation of the Oil-Filter Bypass Valve (8081KM)
(1)
Apply a thin layer of lubricant OILS (Material No. 03-002) to the new o-ring (5) and the new o-ring (6).
(2)
Install the new O-rings (5) and (6) on the oil-filter bypass valve (8081KM) (3).
(3)
Remove the blanking plug from the filter housing (4).
(4)
Install the oil-filter bypass valve (8081KM) (3) to the filter housing (4).
(5)
TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 0.23 and 0.28 m.daN (20.35 and 24.77 lbf.in)
(6)
Safety the differential pressure indicator nut to the top bolt (1) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).
