On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.

Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.

Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized

(1)
Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3)
Set the LIGHT SW 11LJ to the ON position.

A. Removal of the Generator Scavene Pump (8085KM)
(1)
Disconnect the electrical connection (12) from the generator (9).
(2)
Remove the bolts (18) and the washers (17) to remove the cover plate (16).
(3)
Remove the nuts (15) and the washers (14) to disconnect the electrical connections (13).
(4)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(5)
Put the container in position below the generator (9) to collect the oil which will drain when the generator (9) is removed.
(6)
Remove and discard the lockwire and remove the drain plug (10) and seal (11) at the bottom of the generator.
(7)
Drain the oil into the container.
(8)
Loosen the nuts (6) until there is a clearance between them and the generator (9) flange.
(9)
Turn the generator (9) counterclockwise and remove it from the
accessory drive gearbox.

Remove and discard the O-rings (8) and (7).

Remove the bolts (1) and the washers (2) from the generator scavenge pump (8085KM) (3).

Remove the generator scavenge pump (8085KM) (3).
(13)
Remove and discard the O-rings (4) and (5) from the generator scavenge pump (8085KM) (3).
(14)
Install the blanking cap to the gearbox/generator mating face.
(15)
Examine the seal (11) and replace if necessary.
(16)
Install the seal (11) and the drain plug (10) to the generator (9).
(17)
TORQUE the drain plug (10) to between 2.95 and 3.25 m.daN (21.75 and
23.96 lbf.ft) and safety it with lockwire-corrosion resistant steel
0.8 mm (0.032 in) dia.
