 A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1)
 Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

 (2)
 On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.

 (3)
 Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.

 (4)
 Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
 (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).


 (5)
 Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.

 (6)
 Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).

 (7)
 Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the on position.

 4. Procedure

 A. Installation of the Pressure Relief Valve
 (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 49-91-43-991-002)

 (1)
 Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012) to the new packing (1) and the new packing (2).

 (2)
 Install the new packings (1) and (2) on the pressure relief valve (3).

 (3)
 Install the pressure relief valve (3) on the APU gearbox.

 (4)
 TORQUE the pressure relief valve (3) to between 55.0 and 75.0 lbf.in

 (0.62 and 0.84 m.daN).

 (5)
 Safety the pressure relief valve (3) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).


 (6)
 Fill the APU oil reservoir (Ref. TASK 49-90-00-600-004). Subtask 49-91-43-865-059

 B.
 Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD

 C. Leak Test of the Pressure Relief Valve
 (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 49-91-43-991-002)

 (1) Start and operate the APU (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-710-008) for min. 5 minutes.
 (a) Examine the joint of the pressure relief valve (3) and the APU for leaks.
 NOTE : Leaks are not permitted.

 (2) Stop the APU (Ref. TASK 49-00-00-710-008).
 5. Close-up

 A. Close Access
 (1)
 Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

 (2)
 Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.

 (3)
 Close the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).


 (4)
 Remove the access platform(s). Subtask 49-91-43-860-053

 B.
 Aircraft Maintenance Configuration

 (1)
 Pressurize the reservoirs of the hydraulic systems.
 (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-002).


 (2)
 De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
 (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).


 (3)
 Remove the warning notice(s).
