Install a blank plug in the gearbox.

Remove and discard the packings (4) and (5) from the de-oiling solenoid valve (3).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6)
Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7)
Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the on position.

A. Installation of the De-oiling Solenoid Valve
(1)
Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012) to the new packing (4) and packing (5).
(2)
Install the new packings (4) and (5) on the de-oiling solenoid valve (3).
(3)
Lubricate the bolts (2) with OILS (Material No. 03-002).
(4)
Install the de-oiling solenoid valve (3) with the bolts (2).
(5)
TORQUE the two bolts (2) to between 46 and 51 lbf.in (0.51 and 0.57 m.daN).
(6)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(7)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(8)
Connect the electrical connector P15 (1) to the de-oiling solenoid valve (3).
