Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-21-410-001).

Remove the access platform(s).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the ground service network
(Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3)
Put the warning notice in position on panel 25VU to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

(1)
Put the access platform below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001)
(3)
Set the LIGHT SW 11LJ to the ON position.

A. Removal of the Oil Heater
(1)
Drain the oil from the APU gearbox (Ref. TASK 49-90-00-600-007).
(2)
Disconnect the electrical connector (4) from the heater (3).
(3)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(4)
Remove the bolts (1) and the washers (2).
(5)
Pull the heater (3) out of the gearbox.
(6)
Remove and discard the O-ring (5).
(7)
Put a blanking plug in the gearbox port.
