A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the ground service network
(Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW p/bsw is OFF.
(3)
Put a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

C. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3)
Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the on position.

A. Removal of the Oil Cooler (8079KM)
(1)
Remove the clamps (1).
(2)
Disconnect the cooling air inlet duct (2) and the outlet duct (3) from the oil cooler (8079KM) (4).
(3)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
(4)
Put the container below the thermal bypass valve (5).
(5)
Remove the bolts (6) and the retainer plate (7) from the thermal bypass valve (5).
(6)
Hold the oil cooler (8079KM) (4) and remove the bolts (10) and the washers (11).
(7)
Remove the oil cooler (8079KM) (4).
(8)
Point the open end of the oil pipes (8) into the container and drain.
(9)
Remove and discard the O-rings (9).
(10) Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
