Remove the check valve (AMM 21-58-03/401).

Look at the check valve to make sure it has these conditions:
(a)
All of the parts are there
(b)
The housing does not have a crack or corrosion
(c)
The mating (sealing) surfaces of the flappers and the valve body are not worn or damaged.
(d)
The flappers move easily.

(3)
If the check valve does not have one of these conditions, replace the check valve.
(4)
Install the check valve (AMM 21-58-03/401).

NINE-INCH DUCT VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. The nine-inch duct valves are the valves in the equipment cooling system that are nine inches in diameter. They are:
(1)
The inboard supply valve
(2)
The inboard exhaust valve
(3)
The bypass valve.
B. This procedure has the tasks that follow:

Nine-Inch Duct Valve Installation
(3)
Inboard Exhaust Valve Actuator Removal
(4)
Inboard Exhaust Valve Actuator Installation
C. The inboard supply valve and the bypass valve are installed in the left sidewall of the forward cargo compartment at Station 580. The inboard exhaust valve is installed below the floor of the forward cargo compartment at station 560.

(1) Remove the electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).
