 ZONE TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEM - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

 1.  General (Fig. 1)_______
 A.  The zone temperature control system regulates the temperature of the air distributed to the airplane cabin. For temperature control purposes, the airplane cabin is divided into zones by the conditioned air distribution system. The temperature of each zone may be adjusted independently. For each zone, a variable amount of hot bleed air (trim air) is mixed with cooled air supplied from the air conditioning packs to achieve the selected temperature.
 B.  There are seven temperature zones in the airplane for the areas that follow:
