Remove the seal from the forward hinge.

Remove the retainer from the forward hinge.

Remove the hinge pins from the hinges.

If it is necessary, remove the dirt from the hinge pins and the hinges.
E. Inspect the Inlet Door Hinges

Make sure the plating is not worn off of the hinge pin.

Make sure the wall thickness of all the hinge pin holes is greater than 0.040 inches (1.02 mm).

If the hinge pin or the hinge does not meet these conditions, install a new hinge on the ram air inlet door.
F. Install the Inlet Door Hinge

(1) Put the hinge pins in the hinges, if it is necessary.

Use the ethyl alcohol or the isopropyl alcohol to clean the mating surfaces of the seal and the forward hinge.
(3)
Apply a thin layer of adhesive to the seal.

Install the aft hinge on the aft section of the inlet door.

Put the aft hinge in its position against the inlet door.
(b)
Install the retainer and the nine lockbolts to hold the hinge to the inlet door.

Put the forward hinge in its position against the inlet door.
(b)
Install the retainer and the rivets to hold the forward hinge to the inlet door.
