(1) Do a test of the equipment cooling system in the override mode.
CAUTION: DO NOT KEEP THE EQUIP COOLING SWITCH IN THE OVRD POSITION
_______ FOR MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES. EXTENDED OPERATION OF AIRPLANE SYSTEMS WITHOUT COOLING AIRFLOW CAN RESULT IN DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Set the EQUIP COOLING switch on the P5 overhead panel to OVRD.
NOTE: The ground crew call horn will operate after
____ approximately 60 seconds, and the EICAS status message EE CLNG OVRD will appear.
(b) Make sure the caution message EQUIP COOLING is shown on EICAS.
NOTE: The EICAS message EQUIP COOLING may not display
____ immediately. Permit at least 4 minutes for the message to display.
(c)
Set the EQUIP COOLING switch on the P5 overhead panel to NORM.
(d)
Make sure there are no equipment cooling messages shown on EICAS.
E. Put the Airplane to its Usual Condition

For an outside ambient temperature of less than approximately 45°F (7°C); make sure air flows from the heat ducts below the forward cargo floor.
(c)
For an outside ambient temperature of more than approximately 45°F (7°C); make sure air flows from the ground exhaust valve.
