Set the EICAS to the ECS real time maintenance page
 (AMM 45-10-00/201).

Make sure the sensor fan operates:


 (a)  Listen for the fan operation or feel for the airflow at the inlet or the outlet of the sensor.
 E. Put the Airplane Back to its Usual Condition.

Install the ceiling or the flight compartment panel that you removed (AMM 25-22-03/401 or AMM 25-59-01/201).

 ZONE TEMPERATURE SENSOR ASSEMBLY - CLEANING

 1.  General_______
 A. This subject contains instructions to clean the zone temperature sensors.
 TASK 21-61-03-107-001
 2.  Zone Temperature Sensor Cleaning________________________________
 A. Standard Tools and Equipment
 (1)  
Cloth - Dry, lint-free

 (2)  
Brush - soft bristle


 B. Consumable Materials
 (1)  Use one of these cleaning solutions:
 (a)  
B00039 - Brulin Formula 815 MX (dilute 8 to 1 with water)

 (b)  
B00043 - NRG Plus No. 678 (dilute with water as it is necessary)

 E. Disassemble the Temperature Sensor Assembly

Remove the zone temperature sensor assembly (AMM 21-61-03/401).

Remove the two screws from the temperature sensor flange and remove the temperature sensor from the housing.

 (3)  
Remove the temperature bulb from the housing.

 S 037-004
 (4)  Remove the sensor fan to get access to the housing internals as follows:
 (a)  Make a note of the position of the electrical terminal block on the fan in relation to the housing.
 NOTE: It may be helpful to carefully mark the outside of
____ the fan housing with a wet-erase marker to prevent from installing the fan upside-down.
 (b)  
Loosen the three screws from the sensor fan clamps until the clamps can be turned.

 (c)  
Hold the fan so that it does not fall and turn the clamps until they are free of the sensor fan flange.


 CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT LET THE SENSOR FAN HANG FROM THE
_______ ELECTRICAL WIRES. IF YOU LET THE SENSOR FAN HANG FROM THE ELECTRICAL WIRES THEN THE WIRES CAN BE DAMAGED.
 (d)  Carefully lift the sensor fan from the housing and set the assembly on the work surface.
