D. Remove the Water Collector

WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE PACK DUCTS OR PACK COMPONENTS WHEN THEY ARE
_______ HOT. IF THE PACK WAS ON, THE DUCTS CAN BE SUFFICIENTLY HOT TO CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(1) Do these steps to remove the water collector from pack 1 or pack 2:
(a)
Disconnect the drain line at the forward end of the water collector.
(b)
Remove the three rods from the support clamp (see Fig. 401, View A-A).

Remove the clamps and sealings from the ends of the water collector.
(d)
Remove the water collector.
(e)
Remove the support clamp from the water collector.

(2) Do these steps to remove the water collector from pack 3:
(a)
Disconnect the drain line from the outboard end of the water collector.
(b)
Remove the duct assembly connected to the outboard end of the water collector: 1) Remove the clamp and the sealing at the two ends of the
duct assembly. 2) Disconnect the rods from the support clamp on the duct assembly (see Fig. 401, Detail C). 3) Remove the duct assembly.
(c)
Remove the clamp and the sealing at the inboard end of the water collector.
(d)
Disconnect the support clamp on the water collector: 1) Remove the fasteners that hold the support clamp to the brackets (see Fig. 401, Detail D).
2) Make a record of the location of the spacers to help when you install the water collector.
(e)
Remove the water collector.
(f)
Remove the support clamp installed on the water collector.
