Move the flexible duct away from the check valve.

Remove the bolts (16 locations) that hold the check valve to the heat exchanger header duct.

Move the support rods and brackets away from the check valve.
(b)
Do not remove the brackets from the support rods.

Remove the check valve.

Put a cover on the duct openings.

C. Install the Check Valve

(1) Remove the covers from the duct openings.
(a) Make sure there is no unwanted material in the ducts.

Make sure the gasket and the flexible duct do not have a crack or other damage.

Make sure all of the flappers (8 of them) in the check valve move easily.

Put the check valve and the gasket in their positions in the ram-air duct.

Install two bolts, washers, and nuts to hold the check valve and the gasket in their positions.

Put the support rods and the brackets in their positions against the check valve.

Install the bolts, washers, and nuts to hold the brackets to the check valve.

Install the other bolts, washers, and nuts (16 locations) to hold the check valve to the heat exchanger header duct.

Move the flexible duct on the check valve until the duct joint is in the middle of the flexible duct.
