(1)
Remove the covers from the duct openings.

(2)
Put the fan in its position.
(a) Make sure the flow arrow points in the inboard direction.

(3)
Install the two clamps that attach the fan to the airplane structure.

(4)
Pull the sleeve with the air outlet tube onto the inboard (outlet) side of the fan.

(5)
Pull the sleeve onto the outboard (inlet) side of the fan.

(6)
Install the two clamps that attach the sleeves to both ends of the fan.

Install the electrical connector to the fan.

(8) Remove the "DO-NOT-CLOSE" identifiers and close these circuit breakers:
(a) Main power distribution panel, P6

1) PRI AFT EQUIP COOL FAN PWR
2) ALT AFT EQUIP COOL FAN PWR
D. Do a Check of the Fan Installation

(1)
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

(2)
Do these steps for the primary fan:
(a)
Make sure the fan operates.
(b)
Make sure there are no large leaks in the fan to duct connections.

(3) Do these steps for the alternate fan:
(a)
Open this circuit breaker on the P84 panel:
1) PRI AFT EQUIP COOL FAN PWR
(b)
Make sure that within 15 seconds the alternate aft fan operates.
NOTE: Ther primary fan will stop.

(c)
Make sure there are no large leaks in the fan to duct connections.
(d)
Close this P84 panel circuit breaker:
1) PRI AFT EQUIP COOL FAN PWR
E. Put the Airplane Back to its usual Condition

(1) Do these steps if you removed the floor panels to get access to the fans:
(a)
Install the floor panel that you removed (AMM 53-21-02/401).
(b)
Install the following cargo handling equipment on the floor panels: 1) Roller/Caster Trays (AMM 25-57-04/401) 2) Lock/Stop Roller/Caster Trays (AMM 25-58-01/401) 3) Vertical and Side Restraint/Caster Unit (AMM 25-58-01/401)

(2) Remove the electrical power if it is not necessary
(AMM 24-22-00/201).
