 (8)  S 714-018Do a test of the sensor. (a) Push the ZONE RST switch on the P5 overhead panel.

Make sure that no messages for the cargo temperature sensors show on the CMC Existing Faults Page.

Make sure that the sensor fan operates.

 A.  Standard Tools and Equipment
 (1)  
Cloth - Dry, Lint-Free

 (2)  
Brush - Soft Bristles

 B.  Consumable Materials
 (1)  Use one of these cleaning solutions:
 (a)  
B00039 - Brulin Formula 815 MX (dilute 8 to 1 with water)

 (b)  
B00043 - NRG Plus No. 678 (dilute with water as it is necessary)

 (c)  
B00130 - Isopropyl Alcohol

 E.  Disassemble the Temperature Sensor Assembly

Remove the temperature sensor assembly (Ref 21-61-05/401).

Remove the two screws from the temperature sensor flange and remove the temperature sensor from the housing.

 (3)  
Remove the temperature bulb from the housing.

 (4)  
Remove the sensor fan to get access to the housing internals as follows:

 (a)  
Make a note of the position of the electrical terminal block on the fan in relation to the housing.

 (b)  
Loosen the three screws from the sensor fan clamps until the clamps can be turned.

 (c)  
Hold the fan so that it does not fall and turn the clamps until they are free of the sensor fan flange.
