Clean the internal and external surfaces of the housing, motor and fan blades with a clean cloth or soft bristle brush and solution.

G. Assemble the Temperature Sensor Assembly

(1) Install the sensor fan on the housing as follows:
(a) Put the sensor fan on the housing in the position noted in step 2.E.(4)(a).

(b) (c) Turn the three clamps until they are in position over the housing flange.Tighten the screws on all three clamps. 1) For an aluminum housing, tighten the screws to 4 - 5 pound-inches (5.4 - 6.8 newton-meters) above the run-on torque. 2) For a plastic housing, tighten the screws to 2 - 3 pound-inches (2.7 - 4.1 newton-meters) above the run-on torque.

(2) Install the temperature sensor in the housing so that the key lock on the temperature sensor points to the fan motor. (a) Install and tighten the two screws through the sensor flange and housing. 1) For an aluminum housing, tighten the screws to 8 - 10 pound-inches (10.9 - 13.6 newton-meters) above the run-on torque. 2) For a plastic housing, tighten the screws to 2 - 3 pound-inches (2.7 - 4.1 newton-meters) above the run-on torque.

(3) Install the temperature bulb in the housing. Tighten the temperature bulb to 10 - 20 pound-inches (13.6 - 27.1 newton-meters).

1. General_______
A. There are air filters for the zone temperature sensor assemblies for the following zones:

Flight Deck
(2)
Crew Rest Area (2 Filters)
(3)
Upper Deck
B. The zone temperature sensor assemblies for the main deck and lower lobe cargo zones do not have filters.
C. You can remove and clean the air filters when they get dirty.
