 COMPRESSOR DISCHARGE OVERHEAT SWITCH - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

 1.  General_______
 A.  One compressor discharge overheat switch is installed at the forward end of each air cooling pack. This procedure has instructions to do the following tasks:
 (1)  
Remove the Compressor Discharge Overheat Switch

 (2)  
Install the Compressor Discharge Overheat Switch

 (3)  
Do the Compressor Discharge Overheat Switch Test.

 C.  Prepare for the Removal
 S 862-002
 (1)  Make sure the applicable (1, 2, or 3) PACKS selector, on the overhead panel, P5, is in the OFF position.
 (a)  Put a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag on the selector.

 (2)  Open the applicable circuit breaker, on the P180 DC Power Distribution Panel, and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
 (a)  
180J2, PACK 1 PROT

 (b)  
180F2, PACK 2 PROT

 (c)  
180J17, PACK 3 PROT

 (3)  Open the applicable access door (AMM 06-09-03/201):
 -191A-L for pack 1
 -191H-L for pack 2
 -192A-R for pack 3

 D. Remove the Overheat Switch
 S 022-033
 (1) Disconnect the electrical connector from the overheat switch.
 -DS520 for pack 1
 -DS517 for pack 2
 -DS522 for pack 3

 (2)
Cut and remove the lockwire from the overheat switch.

 (3)
Use two wrenches to remove the overheat switch from the duct.

 NOTE: Use one wrench to hold the boss and the other wrench to

 turn the overheat switch.
