F. Install the Actuator

(1)
Put the actuator (6) in its position on the airframe bracket.

Install the bolt (7), washers (8 and 9) and nut (10) to connect the actuator (6) to the airframe bracket.
NOTE: The countersink of the countersunk washer must be against the
____ head of the bolt (Fig. 401, Detail B). Do not connect the actuator pushrod to the door linkage at this time.

(3) To connect the bonding jumper to the actuator, do these steps:
(a) Use the solvent and the cheesecloth to clean and dry the bonding surfaces (AMM 20-11-14/701).
NOTE: The bonding surfaces must be clean and dry to
____ provide a good electrical ground path.
(b)
Install the screw (4), washers (2), and nut (1) to connect the bonding jumper (3) to the actuator (6).
(c)
Use the bonding meter to measure the resistance between the bonding jumper terminal and the actuator near the bonding jumper connection. (AMM 20-22-01/601).
NOTE: If necessary, you can remove a small area of the
____ surface finish to make the measurement.
(d) If the resistance is greater than 0.0025 ohms, then disassemble the bonding jumper connection, repeat the cleaning and assembly steps, and measure the resistance again.

(e) If you removed any of the surface finish from the actuator, then use the alodine to repair the surface finish.

(4) Install the electrical connector (5) to the actuator (6):
-DV105 for the pack 1 actuator
-DV106 for the pack 2 actuator
-DV107 for the pack 3 actuator.

(5) Retract the actuator pushrod if it is not fully retracted:
NOTE: The actuator pushrod must be fully retracted before you

connect the actuator pushrod to the door linkage.
(a) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
1) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
a) 6F35, PACK TEMP CONT A
b) 6F36, PACK TEMP CONT B
2) P415 Power Distribution Center - Right
a) 415C38, PACK TEMP CONT B
b) 415K27, PACK TEMP CONT A

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(c)
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the PACKS (1, 2 or 3) switch on the P5 overhead panel.
(d)
Put the PACKS (1, 2 or 3) switch to NORM for the applicable pack (1, 2 or 3).
NOTE: The actuator pushrod will move to the fully retracted
____
position and then stop.
(e)
Make sure that the actuator pushrod moves to the fully retracted position, stops and stays retracted.
(f)
Put the PACKS switch to OFF.
(g)
Put the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag on the PACKS switch.
