Install one screw (1) to hold the actuator and the bonding lug to the actuator adapter.

Install three screws (1) and three washers (2) to hold the actuator to the actuator adapter.

Tighten all four screws (1) to 24-30 in-lbs of torque.
D. Do the Installation Test for the Valve

From the outer side of the airplane, turn the manual drive collar until the valve is in the open position.

Turn the EQUIP COOLING selector, on the overhead panel, P5, to the STBY position.

Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Make sure the valve moves to the closed position.

A. This procedure has instructions to remove and install the E6/E9 valve. The valve is installed below the floor of the forward cargo compartment at Station 520.

_______ THIS PROCEDURE. IF YOU OPERATE THE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT WHEN THE EQUIPMENT COOLING SYSTEM IS OFF, YOU CAN CAUSE THE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT TO BECOME TOO HOT.

Remove the electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

If it is necessary, remove the left floor panel of the forward cargo compartment at Station 520.
D. Remove the Valve

Disconnect the electrical connector, DV449, from the valve.
(2)
Remove the clamps (4 locations) on each end of the valve.
