(7) Look at the EICAS maintenance page for the air conditioning system to see the position of the flight deck flow regulating valve (F/D FRV).
(a) Make sure the valve is at an intermediate position,
approximately 0.40

(8) Open this circuit breaker on the main power distribution panel, P6, and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) 6H6, FIRE EXTINGUISHER LOWER CARGO

(9) Do these steps to make sure the cargo fire control system operates correctly:
(a)
Put the MAIN DECK cargo fire switch on the P5 panel to ARMED.
(b)
Make sure the valve goes to the fully open position.
Approximately 1.00 on EICAS.
(c)
Put the MAIN DECK cargo fire switch to the unarmed position.
(d)
Make sure the valve returns to an intermediate position.
(e)
Put the FWD cargo fire switch on the P5 panel to ARMED.
(f)
Make sure the valve goes to the fully open position.
Approximately 1.00 on EICAS.
(g)
Put the FWD cargo fire switch to the unarmed position.
(h)
Make sure the valve returns to an intermediate position.
(i)
Put the AFT cargo fire switch on the P5 panel to ARMED.
(j)
Make sure the valve goes to the fully open position.
Approximately 1.00 on EICAS.
(k)
Put the AFT cargo fire switch to the unarmed position.
(l)
Make sure the valve returns to an intermediate position.

(10) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker on the main power distribution panel, P6:
(a) 6H6, FIRE EXTINGUISHER LOWER CARGO
