The PTC-A/PACK-1, PTC-A/PACK-2, and PTC-A/PACK-3 ground tests do the tests for each pack with the pack temperature controller A. The PTC-A/ALL PACKS ground test does the test for all three packs with the pack temperature controller A.

The PTC-B/PACK-1, PTC-B/PACK-2, and PTC-B/PACK-3 ground tests do the tests for each pack with the pack temperature controller B. The PTC-B/ALL PACKS ground test does the test for all three packs with the pack temperature controller B.
(4)
Each ground test commands the applicable pack temperature controller and the applicable pack to do the conditions that follow:
(a)
The controller to do a self-test of its internal components.
(b)
Makes sure the controller has control of the applicable pack.
(c)
The flow control valve to close
(d)
The turbine bypass valve to move to the closed, half-open, and the fully open position
(e)
The ram air doors to move to the closed, half-open, and the fully open position.

Turn all the PACK selectors, on the overhead panel, P5, to the OFF position.

To do the ground test for the pack temperature controller A, do the steps that follow:
(a)
Make sure this circuit breaker is open:
1) On the main power distribution panel, P6 a) 6F36, PACK TEMP CONT B
(b)
Make sure the PTC CHANNEL IN CONT, on the EICAS ECS maintenance page, shows A.

(4) To do the ground test for the pack temperature controller B, do the steps that follow:
(a)
Make sure this circuit breaker is open:

(5) Prepare the CDU for the test:
(a)
Push the MENU key on the CDU to show the MENU.
(b)
Push the line select key (LSK) that is adjacent to <CMC to show the CMC MENU.
(c)
If <RETURN shows after you push the LSK, push the LSK that is adjacent to <RETURN until you see the CMC MENU.
(d)
Push the LSK that is adjacent to <GROUND TESTS to show the GROUND TESTS menu.
(e)
Push the LSK adjacent to <21 AIR CONDITIONING to show the GROUND TESTS menu for the air conditioning system.
