C. Prepare to Remove the Turbine Bypass Valve

(1)
Operate the CMC CDU to show the EICAS ECS maintenance page for real-time mode operations (AMM 45-10-00/201).

Make sure the COMP OUTLET TEMP and PACK OUTLET TEMP on the EICAS ECS maintenance page shows the ambient temperature for the applicable pack (1,2 or 3).

Put the PACKS (1,2 or 3) switch to OFF, on the P5 overhead panel for the applicable pack (1,2 or 3).

Put a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag on the PACKS switch.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) 6F35, PACK TEMP CONT A
2) 6F36, PACK TEMP CONT B
(b)
P415 Power Distribution Center - Right
1) 415C38, PACK TEMP CONT B
2) 415K27, PACK TEMP CONT A

(6) Open the access door for the applicable pack (AMM 06-09-03/201):
(a)
191A-L for the pack 1
(b)
191H-L for the pack 2
(c)
192A-R for the pack 3.
D. Remove the Turbine Bypass Valve

(1)
Remove the bonding jumpers from the turbine bypass valve.

(2)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the turbine bypass valve:
(a)
For the pack 1,
Disconnect the electrical connector, DV102.
(b)
For the pack 2,
Disconnect the electrical connector, DV103.
(c)
For the pack 3,
Disconnect the electrical connector, DV104.

(3) Make a note of the position of the turbine bypass valve on the ducts.
NOTE: This will help you to remember how to install the valve to

the ducts later.

WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE THE CLAMPS FROM THE TURBINE BYPASS VALVE IF THERE
_______ IS PRESSURE IN THE AIR DUCT. REMOVE THE PRESSURE FROM THE AIR DUCT BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE CLAMPS. INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR IF YOU REMOVE THE CLAMPS WHILE THERE IS PRESSURE IN THE AIR DUCT.

Remove the clamps from each side of the turbine bypass valve.

Remove the turbine bypass valve from the duct.

Put a cover in the duct openings to prevent the unwanted materials which can get into the ducts.
