CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT DURING THIS
_______ PROCEDURE. IF YOU OPERATE THE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT WHEN THE EQUIPMENT COOLING SYSTEM IS OFF, YOU COULD CAUSE THE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT TO BECOME TOO HOT.
(1)
Remove the electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Open these circuit breakers and install "DO-NOT-CLOSE" identifiers:
(a)
Main power distribution panel, P6
1) 6H30, AFT EQUIP COOL FAN CONT
(b)
P84 Panel
1) PRI AFT EQUIP COOL FAN PWR
2) ALT AFT EQUIP COOL FAN PWR
(3)
Get access to the fan thru the floor panel:
S 014-038
(4)
Remove the following cargo handling equipment from the floor panel that is above the fans at STA 2310, LBL 25:
(a)
Roller/Caster Trays (AMM 25-57-04/401)
(b)
Lock/Stop Roller/Caster Trays (AMM 25-58-01/401)
(c)
Vertical and Side Restraint/Caster Unit (AMM 25-58-01/401)

(5) Remove the floor panel that is over the fans at STA 2310, LBL 25 (AMM 53-21-02/401)
D. Remove the Fan

(1) Remove the electrical connenctor from the fan:
(a)
Primary fan, DB8599
(b)
Alternate fan, DB8598

(2)
Remove the two clamps that attach the sleeves to both ends of the fan.

(3)
Pull the sleeve away from the outboard (inlet) of the fan.

(4)
Pull the sleeve with the air outlet tube from the inboard (outlet) of the fan.

(5)
Remove the two clamps that attach the fan to the airplane structure.

Remove the fan.
(7)
Put a cover over the duct opening.
