(1) Put the static pressure probe into the test port on the E1 shelf and the E2 shelf and measure the static pressure. The minimum acceptable pressure at both locations is 1.7 inches (43 mm) of water.
NOTE: The above acceptance value is for standard pressure and
____ temperature. Acceptable conditions for measurement are an ambient temperature of 40°F (4°C) to 90°F (32°C) and -1000 to 2000 feet altitude. If the ambient temperature and altitude are outside of this range then the measured pressure value must be corrected to standard conditions.
(a) If the pressure in the E1 or the E2 racks is less than 1.7 inches (43 mm) of water, do these checks: 1) Make sure there are no leaks at the pressure gauge and the
static probe connections. 2) Make sure all the rack mounted equipment is installed. 3) Make sure there are no leaks in and around the equipment
shelf. 4) Make sure there are no leaks in the air supply ducts. 5) Make sure the air cleaner is clean (Ref 21-58-10/201). 6) Make sure the inlet screens for the supply system and the
supply fan are not blocked. 7) Make sure the fan check valve is installed correctly. (AMM 21-58-03/401). 8) Make sure the supply fan check valve operates correctly (AMM 21-58-03/601).
F. Put the Airplane to its Usual Condition

(1) Remove the electrical power, if it is not necessary

C. Prepare for the Test

NOTE: When the APU is used for electrical power, make sure that

(2) Remove the sidewall lining from the left side of the forward cargo compartment between Stations 500 and 600 to get access to the supply system (AMM 25-52-01/401).

(3) Do the "Put the Air/Ground Relay System in the Air Mode" task (Ref 32-09-02/201).
D. Do the Test

(1) Do a test with the cargo fire protection system armed and the airplane in the air mode.
(a) Make sure the EQUIP COOLING switch on the P5 overhead panel is set to NORM.

FOR MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES. BOTH EQUIPMENT COOLING FANS
WILL STOP. EXTENDED OPERATION OF AIRPLANE SYSTEMS WITHOUT

COOLING AIRFLOW CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b)
Set the CARGO FIRE FWD switch on the P5 overhead panel to ARMED.
