 RAM AIR EXIT DOOR ACTUATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks. The first task is the removal of the actuator for the door at the ram air exit. The second task is the installation of the actuator for the door at the ram air exit.
 B.  The removal of the actuator has these steps:
 -Get access to the actuator
 -
Remove power from the pack control system

 -
Remove the actuator.

 C.  The installation of the actuator has these steps:
 -Install the actuator to the frame
 -Retract the actuator
 -Connect the actuator to the actuator arm
 -Do a test of the actuator.

 -191ML for the pack 2

Put the PACKS (1, 2 or 3) switch to OFF, on the P5 overhead panel for the applicable pack (1, 2 or 3).

Put a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag on the PACKS switch.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6F35, PACK TEMP CONT A
 2) 6F36, PACK TEMP CONT B

 (b)  
P415 Power Distribution Center - Right 1) 415C38, PACK TEMP CONT B 2) 415K27, PACK TEMP CONT A

 

 D. Remove the Actuator
 S 034-027
 (1) Disconnect the electrical connector (9) from the actuator (1):
 -DV156 for the pack 1 actuator
 -DV157 for the pack 2 actuator
 -DV158 for the pack 3 actuator.

 (2)  
Remove the bolt (4), washers (2), and nut (3) to disconnect the bonding jumper (5) from the actuator lug.
