D. Remove the Water Separator

Disconnect the water drain hose (4) from the drain tube connection (approximately 18 inches (0.45 meters) from the water separator).

Remove the couplings (2, 5) at each end of the water separator (1).

4. Water Separator Cleaning

A. General
(1) This procedure has the instructions to clean the coalescer bag in the water separator. One water separator is in each air cooling pack.
B. Equipment
(1) Blow Dryer or a Clean, Dry Cloth

(1) Solution - Warm Water and Mild Soap

Do the Water Separator Removal task.

(2)
Remove the coalescer bag from the water separator:
(a) If it is installed, remove the downstream coalescer retaining ring from the water separator.
NOTE: Use the loop on the ring to pull it out of the water
____
separator.
(b)
Cut and remove the lockwire from the coalescer retaining ring near the inlet of the water separator.
