 C. Install the Valve

 (1)  Remove the cover from the duct opening.
 (a)  Make sure there is no unwanted material in the duct.

Put the valve in its position with the flow arrow pointed in the aft direction.
 (3)  
Put the duct sleeve and the flexible duct on the ends of the valve.
 (4) 
Install the clamps (4 locations) on each end of the valve.
 (5)  
Connect the electrical connector, DV449, to the valve.

Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Make sure the EQUIP COOLING selector, on the overhead panel, P5, is in the NORM position.

Make sure the EICAS status message, E6/E9 VALVE, does not show.

Make sure the message, E/E COOLING E6/E9 VALVE FAIL, does not show on the CMC EXISTING FAULTS page.

Feel for leaks around the valve.

Small leaks are permitted.
 (b)  
You must repair a large leak.
