PARKING BRAKE SHUTOFF VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
A. This procedure removes and installs the shutoff valve of the parking brake.

(1)
Make sure you install the ground locks of the landing gear (Ref 32-00-01/201).

Put chocks on the wheels and release the parking brake.
S 844-004
(3)
Open the ANTISKID FAIL WARN & PARKING BRAKE circuit breaker on the P6 panel.
(4)
Disconnect the electrical connector at the valve.

(5)
Remove the pressure from hydraulic system B
(Ref 29-15-00/201).
S 844-007
(6)
Fully push the brake pedals 12 times (or until the accumulator gage does not show a pressure drop each time you push the pedals) to remove the pressure from the brake accumulator.

Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the shutoff valve and seal them with plugs.

Remove the three attachment bolts.

Remove the shutoff valve of the parking brake from the bracket, remove reducers, discard O-rings, and seal the ports with plugs.

Remove the reducers.

Discard the O-rings and seal the ports with plugs.

S 424-014
(1)
Install the reducers with new O-rings in the shutoff valve of the parking brake.

(2)
Use the three attach bolts to install the shutoff valve on the bracket in the main wheel well.

(3)
Remove the plugs and the caps and connect the hydraulic lines to the shutoff valve.
(4)
Pressurize hydraulic system B (AMM 29-15-00/201).
(5)
Connect the electrical connector to the valve.
