Apply red enamel paint, BMS 10-11, type 2, to the nose gear and lock brace as necessary per figure 701.
(c)
Remove the masking tape, if used, when the paint is no longer wet.

Do these steps to paint the main landing gear mechanical downlock indication (Fig. 702):
(a)
Apply masking tape to the end of the lock link and lower side strut to border a stripe 0.29-0.31 inches (7.37-7.89 mm) wide.
(b)
Apply red enamel paint, BMS 10-11, type 2, to the downlock link and lower side strut.
(c)
Remove the masking tape when the paint is no longer wet.

CONTROL LEVER POSITION SWITCH - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has two tasks. These tasks remove and install the position switch for the control lever.
B. The position switch is found in the flight compartment on the control lever assembly for the landing gear.

WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS ON THE NOSE AND MAIN
_______ LANDING GEAR BEFORE YOU MOVE THE CONTROL LEVER FOR THE LANDING GEAR. IF YOU MOVE THE CONTROL LEVER WITHOUT THE GROUND LOCKS INSTALLED, THE LANDING GEAR CAN RETRACT AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1)
Make sure the ground locks are installed on the nose and main landing gear (Ref 32-00-01/201).
