WARNING: MAKE SURE THE GROUND LOCK PINS ARE INSTALLED ON ALL THE LANDING
_______ GEAR. WITHOUT THE GROUND LOCK PINS, THE LANDING COULD RETRACT AND CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

If the groundlock pins are not installed on all the landing gear, do this task: Install the ground lock assemblies (AMM 32-00-01/201).

Remove the pressure from the hydraulic system A (AMM 29-15-00/201).

Remove the cover (1) for the steering metering valve (4):
(a)
Remove the cover attach bolt (18) that holds the cover (1).
(b)
Remove the bolt (20), and the washer (21) to disconnect the cover (1) from the lower support bracket (19).
(c)
AIRPLANES INCORPORATING SB 32-1289; Remove the nut (25), washer (24), and the bolt (23) to disconnect the cover (1) from the fitting assembly (22).

Remove the bracket attach bolt (12) that holds the support
bracket (16A, 16B) to the upper support plate (13).

Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the steering metering valve (4):
NOTE: If it is necessary to remove the steering depressurization
____ valve for better access, ignore this step and go to the subsequent step that removes it.
(a)
Disconnect the ports 1 and 3 hydraulic lines of the steering depressurization valve (32) from the valve fitting (17).
(b)
Put caps or plugs on the hydraulic lines and the valve fitting (17).
(c)
Put a tag to identify the hydraulic lines and fittings to prevent the crossing of the lines during the installation.

(6) Do these steps to remove the steering depressurization valve (32):
NOTE: Remove the steering depressurization valve with the hydraulic

lines attached.
(a)
Disconnect the ports 2 and 4 hydraulic lines of the steering depressurization valve (32) from the swivel (26).
(b)
Disconnect the ports 1 and 3 hydraulic lines of the steering depressurization valve (32) from the valve fitting (17).
(c)
Put caps or plugs on the hydraulic lines and the fittings.
(d)
Put a tag to identify the hydraulic lines and the fittings to prevent the crossing of the lines during the installation.
(e)
Remove the bolt (27), and the washer (28) that holds the steering depressurization valve (32) to the bracket assembly (29).
(f)
Remove the steering depressurization valve (32), with the hydraulic lines attached, from the work area.

(1) Remove the attach bolt for the input rod (3) of the steering metering valve (4) to disconnect it from the link assembly.
