WARNING: MAKE SURE THE GROUND LOCK PINS ARE INSTALLED ON ALL THE LANDING
_______ GEAR. WITHOUT THE GROUND LOCK PINS, THE LANDING COULD RETRACT AND CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1)
If the groundlock pins are not installed on all the landing gear, do this task: Install the ground lock assemblies (AMM 32-00-01/201).

Remove the pressure from the hydraulic system A (AMM 29-15-00/201).

Lift the nose of the airplane with the jack until the tires will not touch the ground (AMM 07-11-21/201).

Adjust the cable guard to clear the steering collar pulley by 0.015 to 0.045 inch.
(a)
If it is necessary, loosen the attach bolt and adjust the cable guard in its slotted hole.

Install the rigging pin 1 in the quadrant.

If the rigging pin 1 will not fit freely when you install it on the step above and the cables are not at correct tension, do the step below:
(a)
Disconnect the steering control rod of the rudder pedal from the steering mechanism of the rudder pedal.

Do these steps to put the airplane in the ground mode:
(a)
Put a piece of aluminum sheet, 2.0 inches X 1.0 inch X .05 inch +/- .02 inch thick between the proximity switch and its target.
(b)
Make sure that the rotary actuator turns from air mode to ground mode when it gets its signal.

Make sure the rigging pin 4 will install correctly in the valve crank of the steering metering.
(a)
If it is necessary, adjust the cable system.

Align the marker on the steering collar with the marker on the shock strut to adjust the nose wheels.
(10)
Install the rigging pin 2 in the steering wheel drum.

If you install new NWSA and NWSB cables, stretch the new cables as follows:
(a)
Remove the locking clips. 1) Adjust the tension of all the segments of cables NWSA and
NWSB to 85 |5 pounds at 70°F ambient temperature. 2) Make sure that all the rigging pins are loose.
(b)
Remove all the rigging pins.
(c)
Remove the apex bolt of the torsion link.
(d)
Turn the upper torsion link horizontally and operate the steering system of the nose wheel manually through 25 cycle (center-full left-full right-center).

Install the apex bolt of the torsion link.
