Extend the landing gear
(a)
Move the landing gear selector lever to the DN position.
(b)
Attach a DO NOT OPERATE tag to the landing gear selector lever.

Turn off hydraulic power pumps A and B.

Install the ground lock pins.

Adjust the sensor clearance:
(a)
Remove the bolts that attach the mounting bracket for the sensor to the uplock mechanism.
(b)
Change spacers as necessary to get the clearance that is shown on Figure 501.
(c)
Tighten the bolts for the sensor mounting bracket.
(d)
Measure the clearance for the main gear uplock sensor again.

Test the Main Gear Uplock Sensor

Install the pivot bolt to connect the inner shock strut door to the shock strut.

Replace the nut and washer.

Retract the landing gear.

Make sure the applicable (LEFT or RIGHT) red GEAR light comes on while the gear is in transit.

Extend the landing gear.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers on the P6-2 panel:
(a)
PRIMARY LG TRANSFER VALVE CONTROL (C781)
(b)
SECONDARY LG TRANSFER VALVE CONTROL (C799)

(3) Push the ACTUATED indicator for the tranfer valve to set the indicator to black.
NOTE:____The ACTUATED indicator is on the E11 shelf. You must open access door 1103 to get to the E11 shelf.

Release the pressure from the hydraulic system (AMM 29-15-00/201).

If it is necessary, fill the two hydraulic reservoirs with hydraulic fluid (AMM 12-12-00/301).
(6)
Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(7)
Install the ground locks in all the landing gear (AMM 32-00-01/201).
