BRAKE HYDRAULIC FUSES - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure has one task. It is to replace the volumetric hydraulic fuses for the brakes.. There are two fuses for the left normal brake hydraulic system and two fuses for the right normal hydraulic system. There is one fuse for the left alternate brake hydraulic system and one fuse for the right brake alternate system. The fuses are all located in the airplane wheel well (Ref Fig. 401).
B. Bleed the brakes after after fuse replacement per instructions in Hydraulic Brake System - Maintenance Practices.

2. Volumetric Hydraulic Fuse Replacement_____________________________________
A. General

For this procedure the volumetric hydraulic fuses will be referred to as the fuses.

(1)
Do the procedure to remove power from all three hydraulic systems (AMM 29-15-00/201).

(2)
Do the procedure to remove the pressure from all three hydraulic reservoirs (AMM 29-09-00/201).
(3)
Loosen the two B nuts on the two sides of each fuse.
(4)
Remove the fuse.
(5)
Install a new fuse.

Tighten the two B nuts on the two sides of each fuse (AMM 20-50-11/201).
