Procedure

(1)
Install the ground locks in the nose landing gear
(Ref 32-00-01/201).

Decrease the tension on cables NWSA, NGPPA, and NGPPB to zero.
(a)
Get access to the NWSA cable through access panel 1103 and to NGPPA and NGPPB through access panel 3124 (Ref 12-31-11/201).

Disconnect the rod assembly A (18) from the structure (16).

Disconnect the rod assembly B (10) from the steering arm (5).

Remove the cable retainer bolt (22) on the end of the quadrant (23).

Remove the retainer (21) from the cable end and install the retainer (21) and bolt (22) on the quadrant (23).

Disconnect the cables NGPPA and NGPPB at turnbuckles (A).

Remove the cotter pin (1) and remove the nut (20) from the mount bolt (13) on the upper mounting bracket (19).

Hold the mount bolt (13), make the tabs straight on the turned bolt retainer (12), and remove the bolt (13).

Remove all the steering mechanism of the rudder pedal which include the cables NGPPA and NGPPB.
(11)
Remove the turned bolt retainer (12) and discard.

Set all the steering mechanism of the rudder pedal which include the cables NGPPA and NGPPB.
(a)
Make sure that there is a sufficient clearance between the clutch crank and the end of the bolt.
NOTE: This bolt holds the steering quadrant of the rudder

pedal to the clutch arm.

Install the mount bolt (13), the nut (20), and the cotter pin (1).

Bend the retainer tabs to safety the mount bolt (13).

Put the cables NGPPA and NGPPB through the fairleads and connect at the turnbuckle.
