Install the attach bolt for the input rod (3) to connect it to the link assembly.
NOTE: The attach bolt should be free to move if the steering
____ system is adjusted to valve neutral position.

Adjust the input rod (3) until the rig pin 4 falls freely in the crank of the steering metering valve.

Remove the rig pin 4 from the rig pin hole location.

Connect the hydraulic lines to the steering metering valve (4):
NOTE: If the steering depressurization valve was removed for better
____ access, ignore this step and go to the subsequent step which installs it.
(a)
Remove the caps or plugs from the valve fitting (17) and the hydraulic lines.
(b)
Connect the ports 1 and 3 hydraulic lines of the steering depressurization valve to the valve fitting (17).
(c)
Remove the tags from the hydraulic lines and the fittings.

Do these steps to install the steering depressurization valve (32):
(a)
Put the steering depressurization valve (32) in its position for installation.
(b)
Install the bolt (27), and the washer (28) to hold the steering depressurization valve (32) to the bracket assembly (29).
(c)
Remove the caps or plugs from the hydraulic lines and fittings.
(d)
Connect the ports 1 and 3 hydraulic lines of the steering depressurization valve (32) to the valve fitting (17).
(e)
Connect the ports 2 and 4 hydraulic lines of the steering depressurization valve (32) to the swivel (26).
(f)
Remove the tags from the hydraulic lines and the fittings.

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Do this task: Nose Wheel Steering System Test (AMM 32-51-00/501).

Examine the hydraulic connections for leaks.

If there is no leakage, install the cover (1):
(a)
Put the cover (1) in its position for installation.
(b)
Install the cover attach bolt (18) to hold the cover (1) to the support bracket (16).
(c)
Install the bolt (20), and the washer (21) to hold the cover (1) to the lower support bracket (19).
(d)
AIRPLANES INCORPORATING SB 32-1289; Install the bolt (23), washer (24), and the nut (25) to hold the cover (1) to the fitting assembly (22).
