Prepare for Hydraulic Brake Control Cable Removal

Make sure you install the ground locks in the nose landing gear (AMM 32-00-01/201).

Put chocks on the wheels and release the parking brake.

Open the forward access door, 1103 (forward of nose wheel well), to get access to the cables, the turnbuckles, and the pulleys.

Remove the passenger seats from station 664 through station 727.
NOTE: Do this step to get access to the control quadrant assemblies

of the brake metering valves.

Remove the carpet (AMM 25-27-15/401).

Remove the center floor panels to get access to the control quadrant assemblies of the brake metering valve.

(1) Remove the lockwires and move each pair of turnbuckles (l) apart on the cable systems (LGBA1, LGBA2, and LGBB1 and LGBB2).

Remove the locking clip (2) from each turnbuckle.

Discard the locking clips.

Loosen the turnbuckles of each system.

Disconnect the cables of the cable systems (LGBA1, LGBA2, and LGBB1, LGBB2) at the right and the left horizontal quadrants.

Disconnect the cables of the cable systems (LGBA1, LGBA2, and LGBB1, LGBB2) at the right and the left quadrants of the brake metering valve and remove cables.

Remove the cables.
