1. General_______
A. This procedure contans two tasks. The first task removes the transducer. The second task installs the transducer.
B. A transducer is installed inside each main landing gear wheel axle. The transducer has a drive coupling that mates with a plastic spider that is riveted to the hubcap assembly. A sleeve type adapter, part of the transducer assembly, holds the transducer in place in the axle cavity. The adapter is not removed for normal removal/installation of the transducer.
